Malaria Consortium, a leading non-profit organization specializing in malaria prevention and control, is recruiting Technical Assistants (TAs) to support micro-plan and personnel database development for the 2025 Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) campaign across Abuja (FCT), Bauchi, Borno, Kebbi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Oyo, Plateau, and Sokoto.
Job Overview
The Technical Assistant (TA) will play a critical role in supporting Local Government Area (LGA) teams, Ward Focal Persons, traditional leaders, and Officers in Charge (OiCs) of SMC-implementing facilities. Their primary responsibilities will include micro-plan development and personnel selection for the campaign.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Develop micro-plans for the 2025 SMC campaign at the LGA level.
✔ Collaborate with stakeholders to select personnel for the campaign.
✔ Verify and upload personnel details using appropriate tools (e.g., Kobo Collect).
✔ Ensure quality, accountability, and accuracy in personnel selection.
✔ Maintain strong relationships with state and LGA teams.
✔ Provide feedback and submit final reports to the Programme Officer.
Deliverables
📌 Data entry of community and health facility-related information into the micro-plan template.
📌 Distribution and retrieval of personnel nomination forms in all LGAs.
📌 Verification and upload of SMC personnel data using Kobo Collect or other designated tools.
📌 Follow-up on corrections and feedback for personnel data.
📌 Development of a comprehensive personnel database within the assignment period.
Reporting Line
The TA will submit narrative reports to the State SM&E Officers, approved by the SPMs.
Eligibility Criteria
✅ Educational Background: Degree in Science, Social Science, or Public Health with at least two years of field experience.
✅ Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and local languages (e.g., Berom, Afizere, Mwaghavul, Ngas, Ron, Tarok, Goemai, Yoruba, Hausa, or Fulani).
✅ Experience in:
Drug/commodity supply management
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
Logistics
Data entry and analysis (Kobo Collect, Survey CTO, Microsoft Office)
Supportive supervision and data utilization
✅ Added Advantage: Prior experience with Malaria Consortium and SMC programs.
