Job Title: State Program Officer


📍 Location: Sokoto, Zamfara, Kano, Nasarawa, Edo

Job Type: Full-time

📆 Duration: One-year tenure (Renewable based on performance and funding availability)

📌 Reports to: Program Manager, CINGROHD HQ, Abuja. 


Job Summary


The State Program Officer will be responsible for implementing CINGROHD’s programs at the state level, ensuring efficient project execution, liaising with key stakeholders, and supporting fundraising efforts.


This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to engage with government agencies, community leaders, and donors while ensuring effective program delivery.


Key Responsibilities


1. Hybrid Work Implementation (10%)


Perform remote and field-based work to ensure program execution.


Maintain regular communication with HQ and stakeholders.



2. Network Registration and Engagement (20%)


Register CINGROHD with relevant Health, Agriculture, and Education MDAs within two months.


Engage with political, governance networks, and Thematic Working Groups (TWGs).


Attend monthly and quarterly sectoral meetings and submit reports with evidence.



3. Proposal Development and Fundraising (30%)


Collaborate with HQ to write proposals for sectoral donor funding opportunities.


Support fundraising initiatives and grant applications.



4. Reporting and Compliance (10%)


Submit detailed monthly activity reports to HQ before the 2nd of every month.


Attend weekly virtual meetings with HQ for strategic planning and updates.



5. Workplan Development and Execution (10%)


Develop and submit a monthly and weekly work plan within the first two days of each month.


Ensure timely execution and documentation of planned activities.



6. State Profiling and Analysis (20%)


Conduct in-depth assessments of the state’s Health, Education, Agriculture, and Governance structures.


Develop a comprehensive state profile within two months of deployment.


Provide recommendations for program interventions to inform funding proposals.


Qualifications and Experience


✔️ Education: First degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or related fields.

✔️ Experience: Prior experience in NGO work, community engagement, and proposal writing.

✔️ Ability to coordinate programs across multiple sectors.

✔️ Strong networking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

✔️ Proficiency in report writing and data analysis.

✔️ Familiarity with state-level policy frameworks and governance structures.
