This nationwide initiative seeks to bridge the immunization gap by targeting zero-dose and under-immunized populations across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

About the Role: State Technical Assistant (TA)
The State Technical Assistants (TAs) will be strategically placed in each of Nigeria’s 36 states, and the FCT will provide hands-on technical support for the measles and rubella vaccination campaign.
Your work will contribute directly to Nigeria’s goal of achieving universal immunization coverage, especially in high-risk areas. TAs will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient coordination, vaccine availability, training, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Campaign Planning and Coordination
Assist state teams in microplanning and implementing operational strategies for a successful immunization campaign.
Training & Capacity Building
Support training of frontline health workers, data managers, and supervisors.
Vaccine Logistics & Cold Chain Management
Ensure timely delivery and secure handling of vaccines and immunization tools.
Supportive Supervision & Monitoring
Participate in monitoring activities and data collection to track progress and ensure accountability.
Community Mobilization & Advocacy
Collaborate with local leaders and stakeholders to encourage participation, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
Technical Documentation
Provide timely reports, track performance indicators, and support feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Duration of Assignment:
6 months, depending on the launch date of the measles and rubella campaign in each state.
The timeframe will run between May 2025 and April 2026.
Eligibility Criteria:
To apply successfully, candidates must:
Be a resident of the state they are applying to support.
Be fluent in the local language and culturally aware of the community.
Have a background in public health, preferably with experience in immunization, outbreak response, or similar technical roles.
Demonstrate strong coordination and communication skills.
Be able to work under pressure and in remote, underserved areas.

Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River
Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano
Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo
Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, Zamfara, and the FCT (Abuja)
